SUNY Oswego is proud to bring the CSTEP (Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program) program back to campus and the program is currently accepting applications for students to participate.

CSTEP is a New York State Department of Education funded program developed to increase the number of historically underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students who are pursuing professional licensure and careers in science, technology, engineering, math and health-related fields. CSTEP provides structured services which contribute to the academic and professional success of students.

Participation in CSTEP provides the following benefits:

  • Individual mentoring
  • Match to research labs for research experience, professional shadowing opportunities and internship opportunities
  • Academic and career counseling
  • Tutoring support, both group and individual
  • Study skills and career preparation workshops
  • Opportunities to visit and connect with graduate programs
  • Access to CSTEP research stipends, textbook stipends, and support for study materials for graduate preparation exams (like the MCAT, LSAT or GRE)
