The Sigma Pi Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta at SUNY Oswego welcomed its new inductees in an induction ceremony on April 20. Lambda Pi Eta is the honor society of the National Communication Association for four-year colleges.

Members include broadcasting, journalism, public relations and communication majors and minors. To be qualified for induction as a student member, the student must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA with 60 semester credit hours completed, as well as a 3.25 GPA for communication studies courses with 12 semester credit hours completed.

The event featured two alumni (and previous Lambda Pi Eta members) as speakers in Lexi Bruening and Jenn Robilotto.

The society also celebrated graduates, Quest presenters, members who have completed 10 volunteer hours and honored the service of the previous eboard: Kayla Holley, Helena Buttons, Brittany Sparceno and Melissa Dowling-Keaton.

Lambda Pi Eta expressed gratitude for the attendance of all inductees, current members, guests, faculty and alumni.
