SUNY Oswego's events calendar recently added new features that both support promoting virtual programming and provide additional opportunities to attract audiences.
Working with Localist, which powers the calendar, the Office of Communications and Marketing implemented a feature to support Creating Virtual Events. This option easily emphasizes virtual events and prominently features the web address of programs.
Additionally, the college worked with Localist to activate additional Audience Communication tools, which will facilitate sharing event content on social channels and via other avenues.
The calendar system also allows organizers to post their events centrally and then share those events on their owns websites in a visually appealing way, as shown below.
