Generous support from Artswego, the work of accomplished Appalachian singer'songwriter Water Light, and storyteller Steven J. York will converge for living cinema livestream titled "Thick and Peculiar Mist" at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 6.

"We present this unique virtual experience highlighting the creation of experimental songs and sounds for the Living-Cinema piece," said York, a member of the college's theatre faculty, describing its origins as: "How does one go about writing a song, to accompany a show, that was inspired by the storytelling of a dream?"

Tickets for the livestream are free but require advance registration via http://tickets.sjyorkproductions.com.

A brief live talk back after the show will let attends speak to the artists.

Read more about this combination of storytelling, original music and experimental filmmaking on the production's Facebook page.

"We can't wait to see you and share some stories around our modern-day 'campfire,'" York said.

This program is supported in part by the SUNY Oswego Student Arts Fee, administered by Artswego.
