PJ DiPietro — an author, scholar and associate professor at Syracuse University will host an engaging lecture, “On the Edge of the Living: Trans Migrants and the Denial of Personhood” on Oct. 15 as part of Hispanic Heritage Month.

This important talk will shed light on migration, identity and justice, followed by a reception where you can meet DiPietro.

The Oct. 15 presentation will run from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in 175 Shineman Center, with the meet and greet reception from 6 to 6:30 p.m.

The event is hosted by multiple departments and programs, including Gender and Women's Studies, the Triandiflou Institute, Politics, Sociology, History, Latino and Latin American Studies, Native American Studies and Criminal Justice.
