The department of human development at SUNY Oswego joined the leading honor society for students in human sciences as one faculty member and six students were inducted into the Nu Alpha Nu Chapter of Kappa Omicron Nu on Nov. 6, 2020.

The inaugural cohort included Dr. Charlene Harris, assistant professor of human development and the chapter adviser, with Jade Laplante (president), Cheyanne Langille (vice president), Hannah Hertik (treasurer), Emily McCarthy (secretary), Maryelin Garcia De La Rosa and Caroline Mangold.

The initial group of students was treated to a virtual induction ceremony led by Dr. Ginger Phillips, executive director of Kappa Omicron Nu, and Dr. Amber Roth Chair of Kappa Omicron Nu, and attended by the Oswego human development faculty.
