The Institute for Global Engagement (IGE) announces the naming of Dr. Evelyn A. Clark, assistant professor in the department of sociology, as our inaugural IGE Fellow.

Eve will work closely with the director of IGE, Dr. Ulises Mejias, in leading efforts to internationalize our campus. She will be a key person as IGE continues to grow in influence and creating opportunities on campus, including the "Year of ..." series of events this year focused on Korea. She will engage in designing and coordinating lecture series (including recruitment and placement of speakers in classes); event planning and promotion; assistance in grant and report writing; information gathering and analysis; and participation in various IGE events.

About IGE: The mission of IGE is to promote scholarly and creative collaborations to expand world awareness, deepen intercultural understanding, and foster respect for diversity and difference. During the last academic year, IGE organized more then 30 events on our campus, reaching hundreds of students from all majors.
