A specialized career readiness event, "Knot Ready? -- dedicated to mastering the professional necktie -- will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, in the Compass Resource Center in 145A Marano Campus Center. Free ties will be available for participants.
Attendees will receive focused, step-by-step instructions on how to properly tie a tie. Organizers will guide students through the creation of several essential knots, including the classic Four-in-Hand and the versatile Half Windsor, ensuring students gain a vital skill for interviews and professional life.
The event is designed to be highly hands-on, providing direct and personalized help as students practice and troubleshoot their technique. This focused approach ensures everyone leaves with the confidence to tie a perfect knot every time.
Professional ties will be given away to participating students for free until supplies run out. This means students can not only learn the skill but also walk away with a key piece of their future professional wardrobe.
