As part of continuing the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., SUNY Oswego's Office of Student Engagement and Leadership (SEL) will combat hunger during the MLK Day of Service on Saturday, Feb. 4.

For the event, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center food and activity court, SEL will partner with Rise Against Hunger, the Student Association and Student Association Programming Board to host a meal packaging event.

Rise Against Hunger is a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies.

Attendees are also invited to be an active participant in the Tree of Life art piece while they are serving, where they choose a value that is most important to them and make a mark on SUNY Oswego's Tree of Life.

Those interested in participating in the MLK Day of Service are encouraged to sign up now to ensure a space.
