A new initiative by Career Services, partnering with the State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) campaign, looks to support students with professional readiness by seeking donations of ties in advance of "Knot Ready?," an Oct. 1 event where ties will be given to students, as well as instructions how to tie them.

Career Coach Kevin Bachmann is leading this effort, looking to collect ties by Sept. 26 in advance of the event, which will run from 5 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 1 in the Compass Resource Room, 145A Marano Campus Center.

You can find donation boxes in the lobbies of Culkin Hall and the Shineman Center, 238 Rich Hall and the Maraviglia Atrium between Park and Wilber halls, among other places on campus.

Career Services also is partnering with SHOP (Students Helping Oz Peers) for a Career Studio that includes a pop-up station in the Compass where students can get free professional dress clothes. Any donations for this cause can be brought directly to the Compass in Marano Campus Center.
