As part of an ongoing effort to better serve student needs, the Office of Financial Aid has relocated to the west wing of Sheldon Hall, adjoining the Office of Admissions.

In the spring, Rodrick Andrews was named director of both admissions and financial aid, joining two key offices that connect student recruitment and retention. Earlier this month, the Office of Financial Aid completed this consolidation by moving from its former location on the second floor of Culkin Hall.

Since 87 percent of SUNY Oswego students receive financial aid –- including a total of $7.4 million in merit scholarships in the past year as well as additional need-based aid –- introducing opportunities to students and families related to funding their education as early as possible is important, Andrews noted.

“Knowing more about how to finance their education can be crucial to student success, and bringing these offices into closer proximity can help students and families gain answers and chart their path forward quicker and more efficiently,” Andrews said. “In addition, we increasingly emphasize financial literacy as an important part of education, and this arrangement will help make that more effective.”

Both offices are open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Learn more about these offices via the Admissions and Financial Aid websites.
