Located on the first floor of Penfield Library, the Office of Learning Services (OLS) is open to help meet the tutorial needs of SUNY Oswego students. The peer tutors in the three Centers (STEM Center, Writing Center and Tutoring Center) provide in-person and online assistance with course content and writing.

Tutoring is free to all SUNY Oswego students. Scheduled hours of operation (Eastern Standard Time) are as follows:

In-person tutoring at OLS (Penfield Library, first floor)

  • Monday through Thursday: noon to 3 p.m. and 5 to 6:45 p.m.
  • Friday: noon to 4 p.m.
  • Sunday: noon to 3 p.m. and 5 to 6:45 p.m.

Online tutoring

  • Monday through Thursday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Sunday: noon to 8 p.m.

Students can schedule in-person and online appointments through TutorTrac. Automated confirmation emails will direct tutees to the tutor’s station in the appropriate Center or their tutor's unique online GoBoard page.

Additional free online tutoring is provided by the STAR-NY Consortium on Sundays through Thursdays from 7 to 11:30 p.m., available via their website.
