The Office of Learning Services (OLS) has contracted with ThinkingStorm, an online tutoring service to provide free online tutoring for SUNY Oswego students.
This service complements the no-cost, peer tutoring OLS provides for all SUNY Oswego students through its three distinct centers: The STEM Center, Tutoring Center and Writing Center all offer in-person appointment-based and drop-in tutoring sessions.
ThinkingStorm supplements those services and supports online and SUNY Oswego Syracuse Campus students who cannot come to campus to attend an in-person tutoring appointments. While the service is mainly to assist online and Syracuse Campus students, it is open to all SUNY Oswego students.
Joey Tse, director of the Office of Learning Services, said the addition of ThinkingStorm adds to the academic services that Oswego provides to their students. It also gives students a way to access academic support services 24/7.
For a student to access ThinkingStorm, they would need to click on the ThinkingStorm link in their BrightSpace account, then follow the directions to create a ThinkingStorm account.
