Members of the campus community ready to share their unique talents and ignite a passion for learning are invited to become part of this summer's Sheldon Institute youth enrichment program as an instructor or student assistant.
This year's Sheldon Institute runs in two one-week sessions: July 21 to 25 and July 28 to Aug. 1 on the SUNY Oswego campus.
Instructors will earn $30 per hour, with organizers seeking those with a unique skill, a passion project or a special expertise. Candidates could be K-12 educators, college professors or professionals with one-of-a-kind talent.
From STEM to arts, sports and crafts — whether coding, photography, painting, or something totally unique — organizers invite instructors interested in leaving a lasting impact on young learners.
Other reasons to consider applying:
- Flexible options: Teach one or both weeks.
- Creative autonomy: Design courses that reflect your passion.
- Transform lives: Help young people discover new skills in a dynamic, encouraging environment.
Submit your course proposals today at oswego.edu/sheldon-institute/teacher-application.
