Member of the campus community are invited to turn a fashion statement into a social statement by bringing their denim and creativity to a Denim Day painting event from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, in the Marano Campus Center food court.

The Counseling Services Center's COPE (Counseling Outreach Peer Educators) team sponsors this free event.

Participants -- and the campus community -- are invited to wear their decorated denim and teal in support of survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence on Denim Day, April 27, which coincides with a related Yards for Yeardley event. For Yards for Yeardley, organizers have have set an overall goal of walking, running and/or rolling 1 million yards in one day on the Academic Quad from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in this annual event to raise awareness of and prevent dating and domestic violence.
