A series of panels and events on the business of motorsports, connecting to Oswego Speedway hosting Super Dirt Week this week, will take place today in 115 Park Hall, sponsored by the SUNY Oswego Department of Technology.
Titled "Start Your Engines: Learn the Business of Motorsports: How Your Degree Can Spark a Career in Motorsports," the event is free and open to the campus community.
- Noon: Networking hour
- 1 p.m.: "Business of Motorsports" featuring Charlie Mellilo, chief media and marketing officer at World Racing Group, and Jeff Hachmann, executive director of events at World Racing Group
- 2 p.m.: "Competitor Viewpoint" featuring Mike Mahaney, a Super DirtCar series racer, and Mandee Mahaney, a social media influencer, podcaster and entrepreneur
- 3 p.m.: Alumni panel featuring Nick Graziano, seniro manager of PR and editorial content at World Racing Group; Jordan Delucia, DirtCar Racing public relations coordinator; Alex Borland, producer at DirtVision; and Tyler Stevenson, DirtCar SportsMan driver
