In an effort to maintain patron privacy and keep the ILLiad database (one of the systems used for processing Interlibrary Loan requests) current and running efficiently, Penfield Library will perform a series of procedures during the summer of 2024. No interruption in service is expected as a result of this work.
Patron requests over a year old will be de-linked from their accounts, and any patron records that have been inactive for five years or more will be deleted. The de-linking process will clear requests from patrons' request history; if for any reason you need to retain a record of your resource-sharing requests prior to January 1, 2024, please make sure to do so before August 1, 2024.
Existing ILLiad users are asked to please review and update their contact information in their ILLiad accounts before submitting any new requests. Patrons who submit requests before updating their contact information will be individually contacted by the Resource Sharing Unit, which will result in processing delays.
