Pink Day, a student-faculty collaborative effort to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer, will take place this year on Oct. 22 in the Marano Campus Center. The college's State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) campaign sponsors this year's efforts.

Employees can wear jeans and pink on this day for a $5 donation via the SEFA campaign storefront. Proceeds from this event will remain local as they support the Oswego County Opportunities Cancer Services Program.

The Pink Day photo will be taken at 12:25 p.m. in Marano Campus Center food and activities court, followed by a walk around the quad area and drawing for raffle winners.

On Oct. 22, patrons of Crossroads in Marano Campus Center who wear pink will receive a free cookie or brownie, courtesy of Auxiliary Services.

Members of the campus community can stop at the SEFA table in the Marano Campus Center on Oct. 21 for more information and Oct 22 for free pink candies and pink individually wrapped masks. SEFA is also raffling off two pink hydro-flasks. Students wearing pink will receive a free raffle ticket to enter the drawing. Additional tickets can be purchased in cash.

Additionally, the Intercollegiate Athletics Department and Laker women's hockey team joined forces to auction off special pink jerseys and will play their annual Pink the Rink game against Neumann at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, in the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Center.
