Children are invited to participate in STEM 4 Kids (grades 1 to 3) or Young Inventors (grades 4 to 6), which start this October.

The SUNY Oswego technology department and Oswego Technology Student Association host two different iSTEM (integrative Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programs for elementary-aged children.

  • These will be live, real-time online sessions.
  • The learning environment will be real-time videoconferencing, which organizers think will be just as engaging due to small class sizes and hands-on activities.
  • Each classroom video conference will be no more than eight children to three KidsTech Teachers.
  • Each participant will be shipped an action-packed, hands-on STEM Learning Activity Pack.
  • The total cost of the program is $40 per child and includes shipping of materials.
  • Elementary children will enjoy four live interactive lessons in October, from the convenience of their homes.
  • STEM 4 Kids (grades 1 to 3) will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday in October (Oct, 7, 14, 21 and 28).
  • Young Inventors (grades 4 to 6) will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. four Thursdays in October (Oct. 8, 15, 22 and 29).

So the STEM Activity Box can be received for the first lesson in October, please register by Tuesday, Sept. 29, if possible.
