Registration is now open for SUNY Startup Summer School (S4), an 11-week virtual training program which provides faculty, students and staff with the knowledge and networks that will enable them to commercialize breakthrough technology.

S4 is a one-stop destination for instructional webinars led by renowned speakers, accelerated Innovation Corps entrepreneurial training by experienced coaches, and proposal development support from experts who specialize in working with researchers and startups. All SUNY faculty, students, staff, startup leaders and community members with entrepreneurial ambition are encouraged to enroll. S4 runs from early June through mid-August and there is no cost to participate.

Online applications are accepted through May 21.

Curriculum will include:

  • Entrepreneurship 101 – What It Takes To Commercialize Your Tech
  • Lean LaunchPad Basics – What Is Customer Discovery All About?
  • How To Win Grants – Mastering Non-Dilutive Funding Sources
  • Forming and Structuring Your Company Like A Boss
  • Selling and Telling Your Story
  • Commercialization 101 – Positioning Your Go-To-Market Strategy
  • Follow-On Capital Sources – What Early-Stage Investors Want

The program culminates in August with a Demo Day celebration where participants pitch their technology or venture for one or more $10,000 Technology Accelerator Fund Catalyst Investments.

S4 is billed as a game-changer for members of the SUNY community interested in learning more about entrepreneurship and what it takes to commercialize technology. Whether you see yourself as a serial entrepreneur or someone who simply wants to gain some more experience, S4 is custom designed to meet you wherever you are in your entrepreneurial journey.
