The SEFA (State Employees Federated Appeal) Planning Committee announced their latest fundraiser, a Father's Day themed raffle to raise money for the people of war-torn Ukraine. SUNY Oswego’s SEFA felt compelled to help this cause, seeing many Ukrainian fathers making the brave and ultimate sacrifice to leave their families and go off to war to protect their country.
Through the generosity of local vendors such as The Syracuse Mets; The Good Guys Barber Shop; Rudy's Lakeside Drive In; Stone Creek Golf Club; Riverwalk Pizza, Bagels and Coffee Roasters; C's Farm Market; Oswego State Athletics; and Eagle Beverage, organizers have put together two packages filled with dad-approved items. See full list below for details. Chances to win one of TWO prizes -- a grand prize valued at $535, or a second prize valued at $315 -- are $5 each or six for $25. You can see all of the prizes and purchase chances using SEFA's safe and secure online market through June 10 via credit or debit card. Winners will be selected June 14.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the United Ukrainian American Relief Committee Inc., a SEFA-recognized and fully vetted not-for-profit agency currently raising funds for vital medical supplies to care for the injured and refugees, and providing shelter and food to the millions of victims affected by the war in Ukraine.
Organizers invite the campus community to find a generous gift while helping provide hope, relief and support to Ukrainian families who cannot be together this Father's Day.
