SUNY Oswego's State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) campaign is partnering with University Police to host No-Shave November fundraising to support men's health initiatives.

No-Shave November began as a way to raise funds and awareness for such ailments as testicular and prostate cancers. This national fundraiser has grown such that participants now ask friends and family to donate to sponsor their efforts. The college’s University Police department typically raises several hundred dollars and is a top institutional participant.

Community members are welcome to participate by choosing not to shave facial and/or body hair for the entire month of November and registering for the fundraiser.

Participants can sign up, donate and sponsor team members via the SUNY Oswego/SEFA No-Shave November website or the SUNY Oswego SEFA storefront.

Members of the campus community also can check in with the SEFA's Instagram account and the No-Shave November website for progress updates. Participants are also welcome to post before and after pictures of their progress on social media, with the #OzNoShave hashtag.

Faculty and staff who wish to wear jeans on Friday, Nov. 12, may do so by donating $5 to this cause. Donations can be made through the SUNY Oswego SEFA storefront.
