An open casting call seeks entertainment talent such as acting, singing, hosting, dancing, stand-up comedy, playing music, ventriloquism, magic and more!

On Saturday, March 30, in Room 50 (stage level) of Tyler Hall from 4 to 7 p.m., professor Todd Graber from the music department, associate professor Jonel Langenfeld from the theater department and assistant professor Francisco Suarez from the communication studies department will hold an open audition for those students who would like to be part of the entertainment talent for the SUNY Oswego Holiday Television Special.

Organizers are looking for talented singers and musicians who would like to be part of the holiday jazz band; actors and actresses who would like to be part of the comedy sketches, music videos and other entertainment acts; and for a unique, funny and talented student who could be the perfect host for the show.

Musicians and singers: Singers should bring sheet music copy for an accompanist. Songs should be memorized and rehearsed. Remember this is a holiday special, so please try to audition with holiday songs. Also, if you decide to use a soundtrack for your audition, it should be music only, not words. Musicians, please bring your musical instrument and also a song to play for the audition.

Actors: Please prepare a one-minute monologue. It is preferred that all actors present something in the comedy/ holiday season theme.

Host: Please prepare a one- to two-minute opening monologue for the holiday television special.
