As a reminder, SUNY Oswego employees can access the Human Resources Self-Service module which allows employees to update personnel information via the SUNY HR portal (same system used for time and attendance). It is a good time of year to take a look at your information and make any necessary updates.

To make changes to the below information, download the fillable Personal Information Change Form, make your changes and submit to the HR Office.

  • Legal name change (must provide proof of change, ex: drivers’ license, social security card, marriage license).
  • Demographics
  • Update education (must have institution send official transcript directly to the HR Office either by mail or email to hr@oswego.edu).
  • You can also update your legal address, phone number and emergency contacts within this section without submitting a form to the HR Office.
  • Legal Address: Enter the effective date of the change and provide the address. Click the submit button and the information will be sent to Human Resources. Please be reminded you will have to change your address with other providers such as your union and retirement system.

  • NYS Payroll Online: (Please use a different browser if encountering issues using Chrome)
  • Opt out of receiving paper pay stubs/direct deposit advices
  • View and print your earnings statement
  • Change your State and Federal tax withholdings
  • View and print current and prior year W-2s
  • Add/update your email address so that you will receive an email confirmation after you make changes

Access this service by visiting www.suny.edu/hrportal and click on either SUNY HR Self Service or NYS Payroll Online icon (located in the same area as Time and Attendance and View Paycheck).

The first time you log on, you need to complete a verification process with the last 4 digits of your Social Security number and your NYS ID Number (located on the top right corner of the portal screen and on your direct deposit advices). This will only need to be completed the first time you log in.

All SUNY Oswego employees are encouraged to utilize this service to make sure all information is up to date and correct.
