SUNY Oswego students are invited to apply for paid part-time public service jobs this fall through SUNY's Empire State Service Corps. Placements will be local to the Oswego community and the program is coordinated by the university's Experiential Courses and Engaged Learning (EXCEL).

Students will participate in paid public service work for 300 hours over the course of a year. Assignments could include tutoring in high-need K-12 schools, taking climate action working with leading state agencies, disaster relief and mitigation after severe weather events, working as a student success coach with an organization, and support for regional food banks and SNAP outreach to address food insecurity.

These positions allow New York students to be paid for meaningful work that can provide lifelong skills as well as contributions to their community.
