The Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition returns to campus at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, in the Marano Campus Center auditorium, room 132.

This event asks graduate students to present their research, thesis, or dissertation in three minutes, as well as the excitement of competing with other graduate students for $500 and the opportunity to compete in the regional competition of the Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools in Portsmouth, N.H., in April.

3MT is an annual competition sponsored by the Division of Graduate Studies with financial support from Auxillary Services. The competition celebrates the exciting scholarly and creative activities supported and conducted by graduate students at SUNY Oswego.

The competition will help students cultivate communication and presentation skills in a supportive setting. It also will reinforce students' capacity to effectively explain their scholarly and creative work in three minutes in language accessible to a broad audience from various academic backgrounds.

To participate, students must be enrolled in a graduate program at SUNY Oswego, contributing to an original scholarly, applied, or creative project. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend the event.
