With September as National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, and in honor of the late SUNY Oswego employee Mary Gosek, the SUNY Oswego SEFA (State Employees Federated Appeal) campaign will continue the Totally Teal campaign for fundraising and awareness.

A gathering and walk of remembrance will take place at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 30. For this popular annual event, participants are asked to wear teal and gather on the steps of Culkin Hall for a photo and a walk around the lagoon. Refreshments will be available after the walk.

In supporting local nonprofit Peaceful Remedies of Oswego, teal-related apparel orders are available through Oct 1. You can order apparel via this form and pay via this CashNet link for your order, listed as Teal Donation (if it asks you to log in, just click pay as a guest).

In addition, every Tuesday during September, SUNY Oswego will continue the #TotallyTealTuesdays campaign to raise awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms and the disease via Wear Teal on Tuesdays.

Mary Gosek was a 30-year SUNY Oswego employee who helped lead the Totally Teal efforts to raise awareness and funds for the cause. Peaceful Remedies is a local organization founded by Gosek that aims to holistically improve the healing experiences of those with life-altering illnesses.
