University Police (UP) and the college's State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) campaign are teaming up to hold a No Shave November fundraiser for Liberty Resources Kinship and Foster Care program.

All funds will go to assist those families that provide full-time care to foster children. This week and every week, the campaign will be in Marano Campus Center selling chances on a variety of gifts and prizes.

This week, organizers will raffle off a $30 gift card to Fajita Grill and a bag of Dunkin Donuts Coffee along with a reusable Dunkin Donuts thermos. Each ticket for a chance to win is $1.

Those interested in supporting the cause also can donate $5 to wear jeans on Friday, Nov. 11, via the secure CashNet SEFA storefront.

University Police officers are taking part once again in No Shave November, foregoing shaving to bring attention to this cause, which started nationally as a way to bring attention to, and raise funds toward, fighting cancer.

Locally, UP chose to support a cause it found eminently worthy, and they hope others will help them with this endeavor.
