A Veterans Day Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, will showcase the new home for the Battle Buddy Center -- Room 313 in Sheldon Hall.
All military affiliated students and employees are invited to attend, enjoy food and refreshments, and check out the new location.
Designated by New York State Industries for the Disabled Inc., the Battle Buddy Center at SUNY Oswego serves as a safe haven for veterans to socialize with each other and receive services that are unique to their military backgrounds.
Based on the military concept of a “Battle Buddy,” where partners soldiers to assist each other both in and out of combat, Battle Buddy Centers offer activities to promote camaraderie and foster veterans to give and receive mutual support.
