On Veterans Day, Thursday, Nov. 11, all campus veterans and active duty military are welcome to a Veterans Luncheon between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the college's new dedicated Battle Buddy Center in 110 Lee Hall.
Guests are invited to a grab-and-go lunch with assorted wraps, cookies, and beverages.
The Battle Buddy Center is a gathering place used exclusively by military students that promotes a strong sense of community and supports academic and personal success for the veterans in the campus community. The center is the 12th NYSID-designated Battle Buddy location in New York state.
An information center where students can access veteran-specific materials, the lounge is furnished with a television, refrigerator and coffeemaker available for use by student veterans between classes while they study and socialize.
