A virtual campus-based webinar will explore "Intercultural Communication and its Importance for Effective Leadership" at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20.

The event is the graduate capstone project of master’s in strategic communication student Fabio Machado, who also will facilitate the discussion. Panelists will include Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Rodmon King; Sarah Pasquarelli, an Oswego alumna who is the residence hall director for Johnson Hall; and Leandro Garrido, a master’s in human-computer interaction student who will graduate in December with a job at EA Sports.

“We will be talking about intercultural communication, the idea of cultural humility and how leaders can benefit from these skills at their workplace to be more effective in their relationships with other members in their organization,” said Machado who, like Garrido, came to Oswego from Brazil to attend graduate school.
