SUNY Oswego community members are invited to join the Oswego Alumni Book Club. Register online by March 17 to participate in the first reading period:

In its effort to nurture connections between the Laker community and to support lifelong learning, the Oswego Alumni Association launched this free online book club and facilitated discussion forum, in partnership with the Professional Book Club (PBC) Guru.

How it works:
This virtual book club was created for SUNY Oswego alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends, covering lifelong learning, personal growth, novels and other topics in which the participants are interested.

The book club will connect through a private forum where all participants can discuss the current book and network with each other. Joining is completely free; participants just have to get a copy of the book to enjoy. The book club will read one book every two months so that members will have plenty of time for each book.

First selection:
The first book, to be read from March to May, will be a novel by Matt Haig titled "The Midnight Library." Members of the Oswego Alumni Book Club will vote between several selections to choose the next book to be read. A new book will be introduced approximately every two months.

A facilitator from PBC Guru will manage the online forum and prompt discussion by posing questions and sharing related articles. PBC Guru will also host conversations with the authors for some of the selections.

“Bookmark” this opportunity to join the club in March by registering online.
