The Office of New Student Orientation is seeking applicants for the 2021 Laker Leader position.
Laker Leaders serve as returning student mentors and play an integral role in the implementation of our summer and fall orientation and transition experiences, including Summer Orientation and Fall Opening.
Laker Leaders' roles include the following:
- Mentoring new first-year and transfer students in their transition to SUNY Oswego
- Creating engaging student experiences
- Sharing lessons and tips to navigating our campus’ co-curricular and academic culture
- Facilitating strong peer connections among new students
- Providing family members and supporters with information to help their student be a successful Laker
Those interested are invited to join one of the Laker Leader Information Sessions:
Friday, Feb. 19: 2 to 2:30 p.m. (Zoom link)
Monday, Feb. 22: 1 to 1:30 p.m. (Zoom link)
Tuesday, Feb. 23: 5:30 to 6 p.m. (Zoom link)
Monday, March 1: 6 to 6:30 p.m. (Zoom link)
Tuesday, March 2: 6 to 6:30 p.m. (Zoom link)
