Do you think that you walk more than your friends and coworkers? Join the Walking to Wellness Challenge to compete against each other to see who takes more steps through the month of April.

There are numerous benefits to both walking and staying active, especially during times like these. This program will be a self-directed program on your own and within the required guidelines for social distancing.

Each day, simply wear any type of tracker you own or use your cell phone to track your steps from April 1 to April 30. At the end of the day, mark your calendars with the total number of steps. Each week you will receive a Google Form, which will ask how many steps you took in the past week, which you can submit by noon on Fridays.

Campus Recreation has partnered once again with the Title IX Office to support Yards for Yeardley. Campus Recreation will share the Walking to Wellness steps towards the total for Yards for Yeardley, where SUNY Oswego campus and community members promote awareness against relationship violence during this annual One Love Foundation event. (Watch Oswego Today this week for more on this year's virtual Yards for Yeardley event.)
