The Student Association has called for a special election Thursday and Friday, April 8 and 9, with voting via Laker Life for the 2021-22 SA president.
Candidates for the special election for SA president are Takayla Beckon and Alanna Hill.
Only 79 students voted for their chief student representative in the initial election. SA called that turnout unacceptable given the importance of the position.
A special election, directed by SA's Judicial Branch and administered by the SA Election Subcommittee, can be called for lack of participation (as in this case) or for violation in a main election.
