Student organizations Go Green Club and College Democrats are hosting an event starting at 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24 to bring attention and awareness to the SUNY Oswego community about the climate crisis.

A rally in the center of campus, between Marano Campus Center and Cooper, will feature a variety of speakers, from student leaders to professors, discussing different aspects of the crisis from ecological to social, economic and racial justice. The event will end with a peaceful march to Sheldon Hall.

Organizers encourage attendees to bring signs, and they can attend Go Green's program at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, in 242 Marano Campus Center to make a sign if they would like.

"We hope to unite as many members of our campus community as possible at this event to highlight the undeniable fact that the climate crisis impacts each and every one of us," organizers said.
