For the first time this year, December Commencement will feature two ceremonies -- one honoring the Class of 2020 and another for December 2021 graduates -- and the college seeks volunteers to make these Dec. 11 events extra special.

The in-person ceremony for the Class of 2020 will convene at 9:30 a.m. (shifts start at 8 a.m.) on Dec. 11 in the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall in Marano Campus Center. The December 2021 ceremony will follow at 12:30 p.m. (with shifts starting at 11 a.m.).

In providing ushering, customer relations and other guest services, volunteers will offer guidance and support for graduates and their cherished guests to ensure the ceremonies run smoothly, efficiently and joyfully.

  • Note that all volunteers must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to Commencement and provide proof of vaccination OR complete a COVID-19 diagnostic (PCR) test within 72 hours of their Commencement ceremony and provide proof of a negative test in order to participate. (On-campus saliva testing is a diagnostic test; visit the Testing Center website for hours.)
