The Public Ceremonies Committee is seeking volunteers for the three May Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 14, particulary those who can serve as ushers and guides to allow families and friends to enjoy this momentous occasion.

The May 2022 Commencement will feature three ceremonies. Anybody able to can work one, two or all three ceremonies would be most welcome.

  • The first ceremony for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences begins at 9 a.m. Ushers should be there by 7:45 a.m., and the ceremony should be done by 11 a.m.
  • The second ceremony for the School of Business begins at 12:30 p.m. Ushers should be there by 11:15 a.m., and the ceremony should be done by 2/2:30 p.m.
  • The third ceremony for the School of Communication, Media and the Arts and the School of Education begins at 4 p.m. Ushers would need to be there by 2:45 p.m., and the ceremony should be done by 6/6:30 p.m.

Complimentary refreshments will be provided throughout the day for volunteers, whether in Marano Campus Center or during hours Cooper Dining Hall is open (through 3 p.m.). 

Student volunteers are welcome as well.
