"Technology Education Teaching Methods" students are planning fun and engaging lessons and activities for the fall 2022 semester of Oswego KidsTech, with a few registration slots open for the program, which begins on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

KidsTech offers two programs, STEM 4 Kids and Young Inventors, now open for registration. STEM 4 Kids offers science, technology, education and mathematics lessons to children in kindergarten through third grade. Young Inventors provide hands-on creation opportunities to kids in the fourth through sixth grades.

Students in the SUNY Oswego technology education program receive valuable experience in planning and providing the lessons.

Both classes will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for four consecutive Wednesdays (Sept. 28 and Oct. 5, 12 and 19) on the SUNY Oswego campus. Registration fee is $30 per child for the whole class.

Organizers ask that parents only sign children up if they expect to attend at least three of the four sessions.

Thanks to the National Grid funding, each KidsTech student will bring home some activity and learning materials to continue to learn together with. Organizers hope to spark children’s interest to continue learning STEM concepts and skills.
