The campus is invited to celebrate the career and retirement of University Police Chief Kevin Velzy during a reception on Friday, Sept. 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. in 114 Marano Campus Center.
Chief Velzy began his career as a university police patrol officer in 1989 and later served as a lieutenant, administrative lieutenant and assistant chief before assuming the role of chief in 2020. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to stop by and thank Chief Velzy for his over 33 years of dedicated service to the college, and wish him a fond farewell for his retirement.
