Native American studies students and Triandiflou Institute interns and staff will table in Marano Campus Center from noon to 3 p.m. on Sept. 28, 29 and 30 to recognize Orange Shirt Day.

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, known as Orange Shirt Day, is a Canadian public holiday established to recognize the legacy of the Canadian Indian residential school system.

While the United States continues to work to recognize, acknowledge and address this shared history, this collaboration will serve to educate the community on the history and consequences of federal Indian boarding school policies — including the intergenerational trauma caused by family separation and cultural eradication inflicted upon generations of children.
