The Digital Services team is in the process of migrating websites from an older version of the university's content management system (CMS) to the newer version, Drupal 9 (D9). D9 offers more flexibility in building web pages, is more user-friendly for editors, and allows for more visually appealing sites.
The current migration process contains four major steps:
- Audit site content
- Rebuild site pages in D9
- Review content
- Launch D9 site and redirect old pages
The overall time frame to complete this process will vary depending on the size of each site. The team estimates most sites will take approximately two weeks to fully migrate.
