Purchasing handmade bowls will put food on the plates of those in need on campus and in the community through the Oswego Empty Bowls fundraising event from 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, in the Tyler Hall lobby.

In what is becoming an annual tradition, the SUNY Oswego Clay Club, students and faculty from the Department of Art and Design and the Art Association of Oswego collaborated to organize this fundraising event with all the proceeds supporting the Students Helping Oz Peers (SHOP) pantry on campus and the Human Concerns Center pantry for the community.

Thanks to sponsors Clayscapes and Artswego, attendees can choose a lovely ceramic bowl made by students, faculty or community members for a donation of $15 to $25. The SHOP pantry at SUNY Oswego and Human Concerns will receive all proceeds.

The event will include a mini-concert by students in the Music 345: “Musical Theatre Workshop” class directed by music faculty member Amanda Li.
