Winter Break schedules announced

Various offices have submitted 2022-2023 winter break information as follows:

Penfield Library

Beginning Monday, Dec. 12, Penfield Library will be open Mondays to Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

During the winter break and throughout the Winter Savings Initiative period, Penfield Library will remain open to support students who remain on campus and as a resource to the campus community. Please consider this space if you need to work on campus during the break. The library will resume normal open hours on Monday, Jan. 23.

Please note that the library will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26; Monday, Jan. 2; and Monday, Jan. 16.

Residence Life and Housing

Residence Halls close at 10 a.m. on Dec. 10 for all students, except those who have signed up for break housing.

Residence Halls will reopen for new student arrival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 19.

Returning student arrival is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 22.

The Point

Beginning Monday, Dec. 12, The Point will be open Mondays to Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Point will resume normal open hours on Monday, Jan. 23.

Please note The Point will be closed Monday, Dec. 26 through Jan. 2, and on Monday, Jan. 16.

Box Office

Marano Center Box Office walk-up windows are closed Dec. 3 through Jan. 23 for winter recess. Windows will be open 60 minutes prior to ticketed athletic games during winter recess. Advance sale tickets are available online at tickets.oswego.edu or email tickets@oswego.edu for prompt reply service.

Auxiliary Services

Retail dining

Crossroads will be open Dec. 12 from 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

From Jan. 2 to 23, the Marano Campus Center food court options will have these hours:

Laker Express: 11 a.m. to 1:30pm
Palates: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Cutting Board: 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Refresh, Fusion Cafe and Lake Effect Cafe all will be closed, reopening on Jan. 23.

Residential dining centers

On Friday, Dec. 9, Lakeside and Pathfinder close at 7 p.m., while Cooper is open until 2:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Dec. 10, Cooper will be open until 1 p.m. All other units will be closed.

The timeline ahead is as follows:

Dec. 11 to Jan. 1: All residential dining units will be closed.
Jan. 2: Lakeside Dining Center reopens.
Jan. 21: All other residential dining centers reopen.

College Stores

The College Store in Marano Campus Center will close at 4 p.m. on Dec. 23.

This store will be open during these hours:

Dec. 30: 5 to 9 p.m.
Dec. 31: 2 to 6 p.m.
Jan. 2 to 20: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Starting on Jan 23: Regular hours will resume of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

The Supplies Store in Lanigan will close at 4 p.m. on December 9, and will reopen at 9 a.m. on Jan. 23.

Campus Recreation

Lee Hall Gym will close starting Friday. Dec. 9 at 4 p.m.

The gym will be open again during this times:

Dec. 26 to 30, noon to 4 p.m.
Jan. 16 to 20, 2 to 7 p.m.

Fitness Centers

Glimmerglass concluded regular semester hours on Dec. 8. It will reopen at 7 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 23.

Cooper will conclude regular semester hours at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 9. Cooper will resume regular semester hours at 7 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 23.

In addition, Coooper will have the follow winter break hours:

Dec. 12 to 16: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Dec. 19 to 21: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Dec. 22 to Jan. 2: Closed
Jan. 3 to 21: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends

Health Services

Health Services will be implementing the winter break savings initiative directed by SUNY Oswego for Dec. 19 to Jan. 13.

All visits will be via telehealth from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekday during this time.
You can schedule your appointment through the patient portal or call Health Services at 315-312-4100, option 1.
The fax machine will also be shut down during this time frame. Please upload all documents to the patient portal or email to whealth@oswego.edu.

Counseling Services

Counseling Services will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Dec 23 and will be closed Dec. 24 to Jan. 3.

Beginning Dec. 19, Counseling Services will be available on a remote basis between 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on business days. To make an appointment, call 315-312-4416 and follow the phone prompts.

Campus Technology Services

The Help Desk for Winter Session will have hours as follows:

Dec. 12 to 16 (in the office): 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Dec. 19 to Jan. 13 (remote only): 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Jan. 17 to 20 (in the office): 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Closed on Dec. 26 and Jan. 16
