SUNY Oswego's Campus Recreation will host a pair of competitive tournaments this weekend -- for Super Smash Bros. on Friday and Texas Hold'em poker on Saturday.
Super Smash Tournament
Campus Recreation and the Esports Association have partnered up for this year's Super Smash Bros. Tournament! Gamers are invited to join the fun in The Space, starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10. Either pre-register via this link or register on-site until 5:15 p.m. All skill levels are welcome to join and compete. Mario Kart will be available to play while the tournament is under way.
There will be plenty of free food, provided by Auxiliary Services, as well as prizes, with Dining Dollars/bookstore gift cards for first- through third-place winners.
Texas Hold'em
Join this semester's No Limit Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament starting at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 in The Space. Register online using this link until Saturday, Feb. 11, or on-site at the event from noon to 12:30 p.m. All experience levels are welcome to join.
This year, the competition will have $100 in gift card prizes to distribute to the top three participants -- with a $50 bookstore gift card and intramural championship T-shirt for first pace, a $30 bookstore gift card for second and a $20 bookstore gift card for third. Pizza and refreshments will be provided by Auxiliary Services.
