Students Helping Oz Peers (SHOP) and SUNY Oswego’s State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) campaign are teaming up for a food and toiletries drive to continue to provide for those in need among the SUNY Oswego family.

The March drive comes as the SHOP pantry has seen an increase in use by students.

If you wish to donate food items, most-needed items include:

  • cereal
  • shelf-stable milk
  • pasta
  • pasta sauce
  • canned ravioli
  • pasta/rice sides
  • bags of rice
  • tuna
  • peanut butter
  • jellies/jam
  • soups (chicken noodle, vegetable, tomato)
  • toothpaste
  • toothbrushes
  • mouthwash
  • toilet paper
  • tissues
  • paper towels
  • soap/body wash
  • lotion
  • shampoo/conditioner
  • shaving cream

Through March 31, the food and toiletries drive will include collection boxes throughout campus at locations including Culkin Hall, Marano Campus Center, Lanigan Hall, Shineman Center, Tyler Hall and Rice Creek Field Station.

Members of the campus community can help by donating goods at the collection boxes above or by visiting the SHOP table at the Career and Internship Fair from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8 in Marano Campus Center's Swetman Gym.

SHOP needs and services

Donors may also email SHOP to make other arrangements at shop@oswego.edu, or by dropping items off at SHOP’s open hours of 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and Saturdays by appointment via the SHOP email.

Monetary donations are welcome as well via this link.

Any students, faculty or staff that may be in need for these pantry products can gain access to them confidentially and for free by filling out the SHOP pick-up form or, if this is the first time, a new user form

These orders will be filled within 48 hours and placed at the online orders table in front of SHOP. SHOP is located in the basement of Penfield Library to the right of the elevator.
