The countdown is on to SUNY Oswego's May Commencement, which will be held on Saturday, May 13, in the Marano Campus Center's Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall.
An updated Commencement website has all the latest on this upcoming celebration of the accomplishments of graduates in front of their families, friends, faculty and other guests. This year's schedule of Commencement ceremonies is:
- College of Liberal Arts and Sciences: 9 a.m.
- School of Business: 12:30 p.m.
- School of Communication, Media and the Arts and School of Education: 4 p.m.
Additional information, including the announcement of keynote speakers for each of the ceremonies, will be shared in subsequent Commencement updates.
Grad Fair
One of the next steps on the road to Commencement is the 2023 Graduation Fair, to be held Tuesday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall concourse. The College Store sponsors the Grad Fair for all bachelor's and master's degree candidates to attend this one-stop graduation event to order announcements and class rings, meet representatives from Alumni FANs (Future Alumni Network), Career Services and the Registrar’s Office, sign the Class of 2023 banner, purchase diploma frames (the only time all year a discount is offered) and win prizes.
Academic regalia, including caps and gowns will be available for all students who have applied to and been confirmed by the Registrar’s Office as eligible for graduation in May or August 2023. Graduates may choose between ordering Commencement regalia online (beginning March 21) for pick up at the event or making the purchase the day of the event. Six tickets for family and friends are included with the purchase of cap and gown.
After the Graduation Fair, students can continue to order online for shipment or pick up beginning again on May 1. Pick-up and walk-in purchases will be at the College Store in the Marano Campus Center from May 1 through Commencement.
