All students, employees, community members and alumni are invited to participate in the 8th annual Yards for Yeardley, walking to remember and to prevent dating and domestic violence, on Wednesday, April 26. Please note that this event has been moved indoors to Swetman Gym for weather purposes.

Organizers have set an overall goal of walking, running and/or rolling 1 million yards in one day on from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26.

The event is named for Yeardley Love, a senior in college at the University of Virginia when she was killed three weeks before graduation. The One Love Foundation was set up by Love's family to empower young people with the knowledge to identify and avoid abusive relationships.

Participants are invited to create a team of club members, residents, coworkers and more. Students, employees, community members and alumni that are not in Oswego or that are fully remote will also be able to participate remotely.

Registration is requested via a simple online form. On-site registration will be available as well.
