I am pleased to announce some exciting staff appointments and new hires recently made in SUNY Oswego's Office of Communications and Marketing.

  • Nicholas “Nick” Malchoff has been named SUNY Oswego’s Director of Marketing and will officially assume the role on April 13, 2023. In this position, he will oversee the development of high quality and data-informed brand marketing campaigns and assist university leaders with the creation and implementation of enrollment marketing and integrated communication strategies, campaigns, programs, plans, content strategy and reporting that raise the profile of SUNY Oswego. A two-time alumnus of SUNY Oswego, Malchoff ’09 M ‘11 earned his B.A. and M.A. in Art with a focus on marketing, graphic design and emerging, digital media. He has served as an employee of his alma mater since 2010, first as a Coordinator of Graduate Admissions and more recently as the Digital Marketing Manager in the Office of Communications and Marketing. He succeeds Rick Buck, who will be transitioning to a role within the university’s Campus Technology Services, along with Digital Services employees Kate DeForest and Joseph Samuels.

  • Emma Colling will begin a new role as Digital Content Writer/Producer on May 1, 2023. Working most recently as a News Producer with WROC-Channel 8 in Rochester, Colling will contribute to the day-to-day content creation and play a key role in telling the SUNY Oswego story while supporting the university’s news, social media and integrated enrollment marketing efforts. Colling earned dual bachelor's degrees summa cum laude in Cinema and Screen Studies, and Broadcasting and Mass Communications from SUNY Oswego in May 2022.

  • Kimberly “Kimmy” Kimball will join SUNY Oswego on May 15, 2023, as a Marketing Manager in the Office of Communications and Marketing. In this role, she will work closely with staff colleagues and university stakeholders to ensure that marketing projects and deliverables are consistent with SUNY Oswego branding and aligned with campus-wide integrated marketing and recruitment initiatives. Most recently employed as the Content Marketing Manager at Syracuse University’s Whitman School, Kimball has also served as a Social Media Coordinator at Cazenovia College; a Public Information Specialist with the CNY Regional Information Center; and an Admissions Marketing Assistant at SUNY Morrisville. She earned her B.A. from Cazenovia College; M.S. in Public Relations from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School; and M.S. in Higher Education Leadership from Grand Canyon University.
