SUNY Oswego’s FirstLEAP Committee invites the campus community to a First-Generation College Student Social from noon to 2 p.m. on April 27 in Room 215 of Penfield Library.
All are welcome to come for a few minutes or stay for an hour (or two).
Pizza and ice cream are being generously provided through a grant from Auxiliary Services. This will be a fun, community building event in support of Oswego’s significant population of first-generation college students (nearly 30 percent). It will also be a great opportunity to meet faculty and staff members, as well as current students, who are (or were) the first in their family to attend college.
The FirstLEAP Committee is also seeking input from faculty and staff across campus in a very short survey. If you are interested in being added to a directory of first-generation faculty/staff/supporters to learn more about events and opportunities to connect, please fill out this short form.
